Coordinating Shared Stewardship in Central Oregon

A four-part workshop to enhance cooperation and coalesce on-the-ground projects around shared priorities and geographies.

12 Years of Collaboration

The Central Oregon Forest Stewardship Foundation was founded in 2010 in order to secure sustainable funding and resources to support forest restoration collaborative groups in Central Oregon. These groups have a mission to restore and steward forest resources on Central Oregon’s public and private lands utilizing ecologically sustainable and economically viable methods.

Collaborative Forest Restoration

COFSF supports healthy, sustainable forest collaborative groups by providing strategic leadership, science and topical expertise, and staff capacity to forest collaborative groups. We also provide fund development, fiscal administration for the Deschutes Collaborative Forest Project (DCFP) and the Ochoco Forest Restoration Collaborative (OFRC).

On-the-Ground Demonstrations

We’re working with stakeholders and experts to facilitate on-the-ground demonstrations that showcase innovative tools and best practices for achieving forest restoration and stewardship outcomes. These pilot projects serve as a model across the region.

Peer-to-Peer Learning

Through workshops and educational summits, we facilitate practitioners to share best practices and innovations that support forest restoration planning and implementation.

Organizational Effectiveness and Sustainability

COFSF is a productive and sustainable nonprofit organization with strong partnerships, diverse funding streams, and robust organizational structures, policies, and practices that support collaborative forest restoration efforts now and for years to come.
